At The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Hard Cover gathered six artists across generations and media to consider the acts of shielding and unveiling that shape identity. From Rose B. Simpson’s ceramic armor to Sharon Hayes’s performative letters and Judith Scott’s wrapped fiber sculptures, the exhibition examined the dual impulses to protect and disclose. The show traced how artists transform the materials of everyday life into vessels of resistance, resilience, and repair.
