About Us
Girlfriend Fund is an artist support initiative founded by a donor and collector committed to championing women artists. The Founder’s passion for collecting began with a love of photography and has evolved into a fascination with artists’ techniques and materials—and how these elements are woven together with personal inspiration.
The collection is connected by this shared exploration of technique, material, subject, and artistic voice. Spanning from the 1980s to the present, it is comprised of over 70% women artists. Girlfriend Fund was created to champion these artists’ interests and long-term success by offering support where most impactful. To date, we have supported nearly 100 exhibitions—and continue to grow.
